A abundant, soft, malleable, and historically important metal.

Copper is used for toolmaking, weaponmaking, copper alloys (bronzes and co), electronics, and batteries.

Copper occurs relatively frequently in it's native form (the image attached is of naturally occuring native copper.)

Copper is a primary constituent of chalcopyrite, chalcocite, covellite, cornite, tetrahedrite, digenite, malachite, azurite, cuprite, chrysocolla, tennantite, dioptase, and enargite. (Wikipedia has a list of copper ores but not a list of iron ores. ???)
